This Asia Pathway special program combines cultural immersion, outdoor challenge, tropical landscapes and meaningful personal development for students aged 18 to 20. From Kuala Lumpur and historic Malacca to the rivers of Gopeng, the food and art of Penang, and the beaches of Langkawi, every stage is designed to turn travel into purposeful learning.

Explore boldly, reflect deeply and return with more than memories. Students travel with structured support, take part in carefully selected experiences and build a personal record of their growth. Parents may also choose a separate companion package, following a more relaxed itinerary while their student completes the youth program.

Week 1: Malacca and Kuala Lumpur

Begin with Malaysia’s vibrant mix of heritage, religion and food. Students climb the 272 steps at Batu Caves, explore the flavours of Jalan Alor, enjoy a Melaka River cruise and take part in a Baba-Nyonya cultural experience that introduces Peranakan history and cuisine.

Week 2: Gopeng adventure

Move into Malaysia’s natural landscape for a week of supported challenge. Experiences include white-water activity on the Kampar River, a 20-metre waterfall abseil at Ulu Geruntum and a guided jungle night expedition focused on nocturnal biodiversity and practical bushcraft awareness.

Week 3: Ipoh and Penang

Discover two of Malaysia’s most characterful destinations through food, art and history. Students visit Ipoh’s cave temples, join a George Town cooking workshop and complete a street-art and mural quest that brings Penang’s UNESCO-listed urban heritage to life.

Week 4: Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur finale

Finish among Langkawi’s islands and mangroves before returning to Kuala Lumpur. Students paddle through Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, enjoy an Andaman Sea sunset catamaran experience with opportunities to observe sea eagles and marine life, and conclude with a farewell dinner and guided reflection.

Learning beyond the itinerary

Each major activity is paired with local insight and structured reflection. Students are encouraged to connect what they see and do with the four program pillars, helping them recognise their progress in communication, adaptability, teamwork and intercultural understanding.

By the end of the journey, each participant receives a milestone certificate reflecting progress across Skill, Rigour, Creativity and Kindness. Students also develop a digital learning portfolio containing reflections, projects and selected program highlights that may support future applications and interviews.

Student package

Complete student package: USD 5,940 per student.

The package includes twin-share accommodation, group transportation in Malaysia, three meals daily, scheduled program activities and required activity permits, along with staff support throughout the journey.

International flights and other travel into and out of Malaysia are not included.

Optional parent package

Complete optional parent package: USD 6,500 per person, based on double occupancy.

Parents can experience Malaysia through a separate, more relaxed itinerary while their student participates in the youth program. The journey includes four-star accommodation, private local transportation, guided leisure experiences and selected group dining.

Highlights may include UNESCO heritage sites in Malacca, a Peranakan high tea, Cameron Highlands tea-country experiences, wellness time and optional golf, culinary and heritage experiences in Ipoh and Penang, beachfront relaxation and cruising in Langkawi, and a Kuala Lumpur finale.

International flights and other travel into and out of Malaysia are not included.
